Micro-Needling rejuvenates the skin by stimulating the production of new collagen. This is achieved by using the skin’s ability to heal itself, puncturing the dermis with microscopic needles triggers the production of new collagen, a protein that gives our skin it's structure by holding skin cells together. As we age, collagen starts to deteriorate and break down. Micro-Needling improves skin tone and texture; treating the appearance of scarring, ageing, stretch marks and pigmentation marks from acne and sun damage. Products applied after Micro-Needling are absorbed far deeper into the skin and are therefore more effective.
The Dermal Micro Needling pen is a far better and safer method than the old traditional micro needling rollers because the tiny punctures needed are applied in an upright stamping configuration. Roller type needling instead of punctures causes tears as they are rolled forming elongated punctures (as seen in the image on this page) which are both severe and too traumatic resulting in complications and slower healing times.
The roller tears the skin whilst the pen creates
more tiny punctures in an upright configuration.
